At the invitation of Professor Willie Hensley, five Alaskans shared their memories of boarding school life. They included Nelson Angapak, Pearl Chanar, Jim LaBelle, Esther Hayward and Delbert Hayward, Sr. The class was called Alaska Policy Frontiers and featured the boarding school discussion because Hensley wanted his students to consider that boarding schools could potentially return to Alaska. He shared this segment because he said he wanted students to consider the human impact of public policy decisions. The class was held fall semester, 2012.
