Vidal Sassoon, [Biography] (17 January 1928 - May 9, 2012) was a British hairdresser, credited with creating a simple geometric, "Bauhaus-inspired" hair style, also called "the wedge bob". Vidal Sassoon has received Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) Vidal Sassoon created the special hairstyles associated with the period in the 1960s called "Swinging London".
