Legacy, A new San Jose based rock band formed by four young, but talented musicians from Dartmouth Middle School perform their "Original" single Sanctify the Blind. Greg Orekhov (14) on lead guitar wrote the music and Jake Casey (14) on rhythm guitar wrote the lyrics for this rockin tune. Chris Thylin (14) on Drums and Daniel Karr (13) on Bass each added their own rhythms and styles to the song which was written specifically to compete in the 2009 2nd Annual San Jose Library Battle of the Bands from February 18 to 28, 2009. All of last years finalists were much older that we are and since were all pretty young compared to many of the bands that will be competing, we all felt that performing an original song in this competition may give us the edge over a band with more playing time but performing a cover song by another band, so thats when we all started working on Sanctify the Blind and we hope everyone enjoys it according to Greg Orekhov lead guitar player for the band. If Legacy makes the top 5 during the voting period between February 18th and 28th, they will be invited to compete in a live concert to be held on March 14th 2009 at the Almaden Branch Library and Community Center, located at 6445 Camden Ave, San Jose.
